The Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine’s White Coat Ceremony is a proud tradition at Â鶹ֱ²¥. Each year, Â鶹ֱ²¥ faculty and staff officially cloak our first and third-year medical students as they embark on the next chapter of their medical education in clinical training. Our first-year students will begin their medical education, learning how to properly care for their future patients. Similarly, our third-year students, wearing their branded white coats proudly, will begin their rotations with partnering clinics, healthcare systems, and practices, working side by side with physicians in their care for patients.
This rite of passage for our first and third-year students is celebrated each summer. However, this year, the Wood Family College of Medicine would like to extend the occasion to our graduated physicians as well by asking you to consider sponsoring a student’s white coat ($75) and writing them an encouraging and uplifting message. For more information on how to connect with our students and sponsor their coat, please visit the link below.
