All full-time, undergraduate level students are required to have a meal plan.  Students living in residence halls may select between the Block 175 and the All-Access Meal Plan (AAMP).  Commuter students and residents of the on-campus houses may select between the Commuter Mandatory $250 plan, Knight 35, and MU65 plans.

The default meal plan selection for residential students is the AAMP, and the default meal plan selection for commuter students is the Commuter Mandatory plan.

Double and Triple Occupancy Rooms

All new first-year, full-time undergraduates are housed in Doyle Hall or Caito-Wagner Hall in double or triple rooms. Triple rooms are available only in Doyle Hall and are at a reduced rate.

Returning students, or new students over the age of 21, are housed in Clare Hall, Drew Hall, or University Hall. Some triple rooms are available in Clare Hall at a reduced rate. 

Returning students over the age of 21 who meet GPA, involvement, and conduct criteria may apply to live in an on-campus houses.

Single-Occupancy Rooms

  • A minimal number of single rooms are available only for new and returning students with a disability or health related need.
  • If you need a single room due to a disability or medical condition, please contact the Personalized Learning Center by emailing PLC@marian.edu to begin their interactive application process.

Housing Deposits

Residential students are required to submit a housing deposit before moving on to campus. This deposit rolls over from one year to the next, for as long as the student continues to live on campus. Once a student moves off campus, the deposit is credited back to the student, pending no damage or lost key charges. Housing deposits must be paid n order to be cleared for KnightQuest. Students must be KnightQuest cleared before arriving to campus. All housing and enrollment deposits can be paid . 

Housing deposit amounts differ based on 21st Century Scholar status and residential location.  All deposit prices are per student.  Prices beginning in the 2025-26 academic year:

Residential Meal Plans

  • Residential students are required to choose between two meal plans of the same cost:
    • All-Access Meal Plan - Unlimited Meal Swipes / $300 Flex Dollars / 5 Guest Passes
    • Block 175 Residential Plan - 175 Meal Swipes / $550 Flex Dollars / 5 Guest Passes

    FLEX dollars can be used at:

    • Dining Commons
    • Chick-fil-a
    • P.O.D. Market
    • Starbucks
    • Subway
  • If you run out of FLEX dollars, you can add Knight Bucks to your account in increments of $50 on . Knight Bucks rollover each semester as long as you are a registered, enrolled student. Watch for special Knight Bucks promotions throughout the year to save money!

Commuter Meal Plans

  • On-campus house residents as well as commuter students are required to have a meal plan. Students may select any commuter meal plan on their housing application and the meal plan will be added to their student account. Beginning in Fall 2025, the default commuter meal plan costs $250 and adds $250 flex to your account.
  • Graduate students are not required to have a meal plan.  If desired, graduate students can add declining balance dollars, a residential meal plan, or a commuter meal plan to their accounts by emailing housing@marian.edu before the start of each semester..
