The Leighton School of Nursing offers multiple tracks to earn a BSN:

Earn a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Upon admission to Â鶹ֱ²¥, you can declare nursing as your major.
  • You will complete required prerequisite courses and apply to the three year clinical nursing program during your first year.
  • Once admitted to our six-semester clinical rotation, you will have a variety of high-impact, hands-on nursing experiences.
  • In addition, our general education curriculum is grounded in the liberal arts, which will teach you to be a great communicator, collaborator, and critical thinker—all skills needed for success in today's healthcare environment.
  • Our close proximity to downtown Indianapolis gives you access to top-notch hospital and healthcare facilities.
  • Upon completion of our BSN program, you will be well-prepared to work in any nursing setting.

BSN Program Admission and Curriculum Requirements

  1. Apply online for admission to Â鶹ֱ²¥ at marian.edu/apply.
  2. For automatic acceptance as a pre-nursing student:
    • First-Time Freshmen: You must have the appropriate high school GPA and test scores
    • Transfer Students: You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.80 or higher with no attempts at any equivalent prerequisite science courses.
