Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Secondary Education

If you want to make a lasting impression on youth in grades seven through 12, consider a secondary teaching career in a middle, junior high, or high school.

Secondary teachers help older children and teens expand their intellectual horizons, broaden their perspectives on the world around them, and prepare for college.

Why choose secondary education?

Teens need support, encouragement, and guidance from teachers who understand the physical, emotional, social, and academic challenges of being an adolescent.

As a secondary teacher, you'll play an important role in helping students manage these challenges, reach their full academic potential, and think about their futures beyond high school.

Students who earn this degree teach in classrooms and work as school counselors, administrators, and principals.

What will you study?
