Why Study Education?
Ancilla faculty design learning experiences that challenge their students to think more broadly about their own lives and potential careers. Ancilla offers an Associate of Science degree that mixes liberal arts coursework with subject-specific teaching experiences while also giving them a foundation as well as preparation for advanced coursework demands of a Bachelor’s Degree program at a senior institution.
As lifelong learners, teacher candidates will have gained practical and theoretical knowledge to equip them with the necessary skills to effectively engage and hold learners’ attention while also taking into account exceptionalities, diversity, and learning styles.
Pursuing a career in education is not for everyone – it takes patience, commitment, responsibility, knowledge, consistency, creativity, passion, and a sense of humor. However, it is an honorable calling and Â鶹ֱ²¥'s Ancilla College will be there to help you rise to the call. There are five different tracks that our students can choose that are all designed to give students the tools they need to succeed in a career in education.
