Congratulations to the Â鶹ֱ²¥ College of Osteopathic Medicine students who recently celebrated a year of compassionate care staffing the (NWFC). The clinic offers basic health screenings, sports physicals, pediatrics, management of chronic conditions, mental health consultations with psychology and social work, physical therapy, athletic training, and medication refills as the clinic has become a beacon of hope and healing in our community.
The clinic, which served almost 750 patients in its first year of operation, was only possible with the dedication and expertise of Kevin Bogenschutz, Dr. Jim Pike, and faculty member mentors. The tireless efforts of Â鶹ֱ²¥'s exceptional students continuously demonstrate their commitment to providing outstanding patient care and service.
The NWFC isn't just a healthcare provider; it's a vibrant learning hub for a diverse group of Â鶹ֱ²¥'s health professions students. From undergraduates to doctoral candidates, students in various fields like pharmacy, physician assistance, nursing, osteopathic medicine, physical/occupational therapy, social work, and more gain invaluable hands-on experience. Skillful translators are critical in bridging communication gaps, ensuring every patient feels heard and understood.
Located at 2120 West Washington Street at the Living Faith Church in Indianapolis, the NWFC serves patients on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We invite you to experience the warmth and professional care the clinic offers, whether you're seeking healthcare services or interested in joining our learning community.
