The graduating class of Â鶹ֱ²¥’s College of Osteopathic Medicine conducted its own “March Madness” celebration today as each of the class’ 149 students learned where they would begin their post-doctoral medical specialty training during a ceremony known as “Match Day.” In just its fifth graduating class, the College had 97 percent of its students placed with medical residencies at hospitals in Indiana, the Midwest, and beyond.
Match Day is administered by the National Resident Matching Program of the Association of American Medical Colleges and is held at medical schools throughout the nation each year on the third Friday in March.
